May is Celebrate North Cedar Month....

The North Cedar Neighborhood has planned several free activities next May for all people to experience the diversity of the region. They include:

May 2nd -
9AM Grab your family, Friends, and Co- Workers and help us with our annual neighborhood clean up. Meet at Neighbors Park 
Trash Bags for Clean Up will be provided. Bring gloves and trucks are always welcome. 
May 6th -
8AM Birding at Big Woods Lake. Meet at the south end at 8:00 am.
1PM CF Ambassador’s Ribbon cutting of new North Cedar Bike Trail Neighbors Park area.
2PM free bike safety check for adults and kids by Andy’s mobile bike shop. Same area. Adult must be present for the children.
May 9-
9AM Cedar Falls musicians present “Sunrise music concert” in the North Cedar Resource Project outdoor classroom—access along Longview. Short hike to the classroom. Free donuts afterwards
3PM Bike rodeo. Bring bikes.  North Cedar Elementary School.
5:30PM Potluck. North Cedar Natural Resource Project Shelter. Access at the east end of Cedar St 
June 6-
Time TBD Free Fishing Derby for kids at Big Woods Lake. Hosted by Black Hawk Co. Conservation Board. Time to be determined.

More activities are in the works! We hope to add a soft trail bike ride, kayaking activity, and a disc golf activity. All these activities are subject to weather conditions. Look for posters and more advertising as time draws nearer.
